SSE families,
The Sioux Falls School District's K-12 Spanish Immersion program will walk together in the SF Latino Parade and Festival downtown on Sunday, Sept 15th. We will meet at 10:45 am in the parking lot at the corner of 6th St and Dakota downtown to form as a group.
Due to concerns about supervision, only 4th and 5th-grade students will join us walking, but families and younger siblings are encouraged to watch the entire parade and cheer when we walk by.
We hope to see you there for the fun and represent our amazing program!

We’re kicking off an exciting fundraiser today, and we’re so grateful for your support! Each student will be bringing home a form for you to fill out. When they return the completed form, they’ll receive a Mystery Book Buddy!
What are we raising funds for?

Brady Southwick is one of the bravest kids we know! Brady is a 3rd grade student who is fighting a mighty battle! In our quest to show support for Brady and his family during this very difficult time, we are selling “Brady’s Pack/Una Manada” bracelets.
They are for sale for $5 each, with ALL the proceeds going to Brady and his family!
Our Lobos Leaders will be selling the bracelets (youth and adult sizes ) during Parent Night, Pizza Bingo, and before school each day!

We invite parents/guardians to join your child’s classroom teacher to learn about their daily schedule, class expectations and routines, grade level curriculum, and discuss any questions you have with the teacher. Then, after meeting with the teacher, join Dr. Tracy Vik and Mrs. Jess Ries in the gymnasium for schoolwide updates, procedures, and celebration of school success!

At Sonia Sotomayor, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. Recently, our Lobos took some extra time to review and practice our playground and lunchroom rules. This extra time outdoors not only reinforced important safety protocols but also allowed the kids to enjoy some extra playtime.
